One Day Retreat at the Global Retreat Centre

Within the mind there is a reservoir of tranquility and wisdom that can be experienced through meditation.

There is nothing complicated or difficult about meditation. It is really only a series of simple, enjoyable, mental exercises that calm the mind so that it can work at a naturally high level of efficiency restoring a sense of clarity and well being.

The Brahma Kumaris teach a form of meditation that complements a busy lifestyle and by making it part of your normal routine it yields satisfying results in a surprisingly short period of time.

A One Day Retreat provides the opportunity to spend the day in the tranquil environment of the Global Retreat Centre with seminars from experienced teachers. There will be sessions introducing the technique of meditation and responding to life’s challenges with inner calm and strength. There will also be time to enjoy the beautiful grounds at Nuneham Park.

The Global Retreat Centre, just outside Oxford, welcomes people of all backgrounds and cultures to explore personal growth issues in a supportive atmosphere. The Centre is housed in a comfortable and spacious stately home, set in 55 acres of landscaped gardens overlooking the River Thames.

The Global Retreat Centre is administered by the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University (UK), a registered charity and charges no fees for any of its courses or retreats. It is funded entirely by voluntary donations.
